i drive a 2000 Buicl Le Sabre that has a little over 200,000 miles on it. My last car was a 1994 Saturn that I drove for 14 years. When I got rid of it, it had over 250,000 miles on it. We still have a 1993 Ford F350 that runs just fine although the paint job is a horror. I don't see any reason to sell off a 4 year old car.

I used to play Boggle with my mom when I was a kid. She didn't let me win - I had to earn it. She never thought of herself as smart or well educated, but she had a huge vocabulary and top notch spelling skills. She could type 90 words per minute too.

by time2keepmoving inwell, i was disfellowshipped about 2 weeks ago.
i was in it for ten years and it was 9 years and 11 months too long.

i am a regular pioneer in my cong reading crisis of conscience.here goes...
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

Signs From God?
by What Now? innot sure about the rest of you that are mentally out, but every now and again i still have those moments where i think "ok god, if this is in fact the true religion and the organization is right and i'm on the wrong path, send me a big, glaringly obvious sign that i can't ignore.. .
anyways, this past sunday my husband and i just did not feel like going to the meeting.
we weren't in the mood to sit through it.

A real sign from God would be more like a thundering voice from heaven saying "What Now? get thee to a Kingdom Hall". But that's not gonna happen.

Which generation do you belong to ?
by edmond dantes inask a witness which generation do you belong to and see if they really know how to answer.. i have decided that every time i hear a true definition of the meaning of a generation i will post it here just to reinforce the true meaning just in case a stray jw happens to look in on here.. yesterday evening i was watching an antiques programme on the television and under discussion was a very well made baby high chair from about the nineteen thirties and the approximate date of manufacture and the length of time it had been in the family.
the expert then went on to confim how old it was and in doing so said that considering who first purchased the chair and the length of a generation that it was from the thirties and went on to say that we consider a generation to be about 25 years.. that is a truer definition of a generation than a watchtower definition.. .

My grandfather was born in 1896. If my youngest child waits to have children until he is the same age my grandfather was when my mother was born, my grandchild will be born in 2054. If that child proves to be as long lived as my mother's mother, he/she will live until 2150. My generation will therefore overlap from 1896 until 2150 - 254 years! So I guess we are all safe for a few more years LOL

My middle son's birthday is the day after tomorrow. I bought him every single thing on his wish list, plus several items I thought he would like. I made cupcakes for him to take to his Boy Scout meeting tomorrow. I ordered a Dairy Queen cake for his birthday dinner. The only reason I didn't throw an all-out birthday bash is that he hasn't really had a chance to make friends outside the hall yet and there wasn't anyone to invite. I may be going a little overboard, but I feel so awful about raising him in the borg and never celebrating any birthdays or holidays.
I hope you enjoy your birthday when it gets here :)
